Is laminate waterproof?
Standard laminate is not. Water-resistant ranges exist, but for bathrooms we would usually suggest LVT or vinyl.
Does laminate need underlay?
Yes. The right underlay evens out the subfloor, cuts noise and protects the boards.
Can laminate go over an existing floor?
Sometimes, if the existing floor is flat, sound and dry. We check on the survey.
How do I clean laminate?
Sweep or vacuum, then a barely damp mop. Never soak it.
